Claw Clipping for just £10!!!
All done at a speed that suits your pet, to make claw clipping as stress-free as possible.
We offer positive reinforcement, force-free dog training in the form of 1-2-1 sessions, classes and online 1-2-1 sessions. We occasionally host training workshops and webinars, but these have a limited amount of spaces. We specialise in reactivity, confidence building and rescue dogs. We don't currently cover seperation anxiety, but can refer you to a lovely specialist.
We do NOT use negative reinforcement, or controversial equipment such as choke chains, pinch collars or e-collars.
I have 2 Level 3 Extended Diplomas in Animal Care & Welfare, as well as CPD certificates in relevant subjects - check out our "About Us" page for more details.
Your dog must be at least 8 weeks old before we can start training at home, for outdoor training your dog MUST be up to date with all of it vaccinations and there's no age limit for older dogs. Old dogs can learn new tricks too!!!
Our online sessions are usually an hour to 2 hours long (depending on what you have booked), they're hosted on ZOOM currently and cover a variety of behavioural issues, obedience queries and trick training, following an initial assessment of your dog/pup. Some owners prefer a face-to-face session, its all personal preference, but in person sessions are more hands on for help.
Unfortunately our insurance doesn't allow for us to work with any restricted breeds, we will update this if it becomes available. For the meantime, there are lots of lovely trainers that we can recommend who are covered to help.
Training is an ongoing event, it also varies from dog to dog, some dogs learn new tricks in a 10 minute session at home, whereas others can take 3+ weeks to learn the same command. Behavioural concerns take significantly longer to see a difference as we are changing the dog's neural pathways, to feel less worried or more neuteral towards triggering stimuli.
We recommend doing just 10 minutes of solo training your dog, spread out across each day!!!
Enquire about the trainer's education and experience, for more complicated cases you'll need someone who has relevant and extensive knowledge of the issue.
Ask about their training methods to judge whether this is an approach that you agree with and if it is also a method that will work for your dog. For example, applying too much pressure (emotional or physical) with a nervous dog, will cause more damage than good, therefore positive reinforcement is the way to go.
Check out their guarantees for their training programmes and the duration of said guarantees.
Have a look at their client testimonials and refferals to assess the trainer's professionalism and the effectiveness of their training methods.
Attend a meet & greet session with the trainer to make sure that their personality and approach to training is compatible with you and your dog/pup.
At the end of the day - trust your gut - no one knows your dog better than you do!!!
Currently we have just one trainer but plan to expand in time (watch this space 😎).
